The Great Nunnery Farm Dry Stone Walls Renovation Apparently Not Necessary After All

The Dry stone walls around Nunnery Farm were in need of repair in parts and in the field some parts needed completely rebuilding but the walls around the property were all fine, just a bit old and I didn't mind them at all - never dreamed of starting to rebuild them all ..... and then we got MINNIE!!

Minnie was always going missing as a puppy out of the garden or the field and I would get lots of calls from our neighbouring sheep farmer telling me she was with his sheep. I was forever going out trying to round her up and bring her back into her own garden.

Whilst she was on her little travels she never caused any harm and  she appeared to want to sit with the sheep and be friends! However the farmer was getting increasingly frustrated at her regular appearances on his land so we took the decision to start getting some of the walls in the fields rebuild. We thought that was where she was escaping from. Even with these repaired she would still disappear and end up in the sheep field so we decided to start a complete renovation of the existing walls around the property but to be rebuilt a foot higher to solve the Minnie problem!

Approximately 2 years ago the The Nunnery Farm Great Wall Project was started - it is now almost complete. Walls all Minnie Proof and soon  to be no more escaping problems.

YESTERDAY SHE WALKED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY AND SIMPLY HOPPED OVER THE GATE AT THE END OF THE DRIVE!!!

Speechless!!
