Hello and welcome to my Blog. My name is Leanne Skelton and this is a little bit about me.
As a child I always wanted to live in the countryside on a farm with lots of animals. I have always loved the outdoors and had a passion for all animals. I have never been able to accept cruelty of any kind and cannot understand how anybody can.
One day, many years later I moved into Nunnery Farm with my husband, our dogs Daisy and Meg and our 2 cats Bill and Ted. The number of animals soon grew and so did my passion for animal welfare, home grown meat and the natural way it should be farmed. This is very important to me. I have now been raising my own meat using traditional farming methods for about 2 years. I can only campaign about the cruel treatment of intensively farmed animals in the hope that one day these practices will end but while I am waiting for that change I can make a difference, if only a small one here on Nunnery Farm. By supplying local people and local restaurants I hope to promote my traditional farming methods and at the same time trying to encourage others to follow in my footsteps. If I can do it with a demanding toddler in tow then really anyone can have a go.
I am happy to share the knowledge I have with anyone thinking about having a go or just wanting to hear about my stories with all the different animals here at Nunnery Farm.
Please link to me or follow me if you find my blog of interest to you and of course leave me any comments of questions you have or would like some information on.
This is my journey to a happier, healthier life for me and my family and my attempt at country living with respect and without cruelty.
Leanne
